  5. "Flowermouth" is the band's second album and released in It can be said that there is a bit of progressive rock influence. It is interesting to know the beginnings of Steven Wilson and to show even more his versatility, but go unarmed because of the different 4/5(31).
  6. "Soft Shoulders" is the closest to a throwaway, but "Shell of a Fighter" restores order, an enthralling piece expanding to nearly eight minutes of lilting pastoral verse, quiet passages of electronics, and an all out storm of squally guitars and ferrocious drumming. "Teardrop Falls," one of their best, is a paced yet graceful pop dance tune.
  7. In all, Flowermouth is 10% throw back to the 80's and 90% looking forward to something better. I can proudly keep this in my collection and even share it with others (although I hate the cover art). Next time I remix my personal KC road trip CD, I think I'll add a few tracks from Flowermouth. Good stuff.
  8. A revelation in terms of the band's capabilities and future evolution, "Flowermouth" is one of those rare albums that is clearly a work of a band in transition and yet in its own right absolutely brilliant. While No-Man would manage more solid albums overall, "Flowermouth" ultimately has some of the best work the band has done in their career.4/5(31).
